What you should know about WestREAP
The six sessions of this course will bear you with the skills and strategies required to be the parent you have perpetual hoped to be. Our Project Grow team have been busy in and around Hokitika planting some delicious fruit trees. Butler REAP and WestREAP have been the West Coast Funding Manager for The Tyndall Bottom since 2006. It will promote community driven projects that enable people to reach together, build believe and labor to accomplish community outcomes. The Tyndall Bottom grant an annual allocation of funds to be distributed on the West Coast in line with their criteria.
It is now that children learn about right and wrong, and maximum urgent of all, it is during these years that they are tranquil interested in what you, as a parent, think!. The goal is to create a garden environment where people feel welcome and are encouraged to share their gardening skills and ideas to prosper an abundant organic food source for all in Hokitika to use. The outcomes of the camps will be students who can identify and prosper leadership attributes and skills and apply them in their school environment. In Term 1 of the 2016 school year WestREAP organized and ran four Leadership Camps for students years 6 8. The West Coast Area Committee is made up of representatives from Butler REAP, WestREAP and the community.
WestREAP is the project manager and community associations in Haas, Bruce Bay, Fox Glacier, Franz Josef Glacier, Okarito, Whataroa, Hara and Ross are partner organizations. WestREAP connects learners to opportunities, filling gaps in education across Early Childhood, Schools and Adult Community Education. South wetland Communities Development Project SWCDP, funded by Department of Inner Affairs and WestREAP and managed by WestREAP, involves supporting communities to be innovative to generate their own solutions to local issues, and to become more self reliant and resilient. The Hokitika Mara Kali Community Garden is a joint venture between pouting Waiora and WestREAP. It provides a Community Development Facilitator CD to work with communities and service providers, to identify opportunities, issues and problems, identify projects, leaders, partners and resources, facilitate collaboration and to compile community development plans. The weens and Teens Toolbox is solely realistic it addresses the serious dangers and problems that teenagers can encounter and gives practical coaching strategies to oversee them. WestREAP wetland Rural Education Activities programmed Incorporated Society has been operating for over 33 years.
Workshops run on a range of subjects so participants can thrive the skills they need to participate in the community garden and or their own garden. Students from diverse schools were networked together so a new group dynamic was put in deposit and new leadership challenges would be faced.
