The pretty location at Paramata has walks to the beach and canoeing along coastal waterways. Native birds especially kereru native wood pigeon feed on fruiting kahikatea trees. Quality espresso coffee is a treat, while home baked bread, home made jams and a fresh fruit dish will delight. Paramata Lodge is situated beside ancient kahikatea forest, extensive wetlands and distant beach, and is a South Island haven for New Zealand bird watching.
